How do I create a Mondly account?

You need a Mondly account to save your progress and access your subscription on all your devices.

📌 Examples – When to create an account?

  • When first using the app so progress is saved

  • Before changing devices

  • Before switching from trial to Premium

  • On the Mondly mobile app (iOS or Android)

  1. Open the Mondly app.

  2. Click on "Get started"

  3. Choose your native language (under “I speak”).

  4. Select the language you want to learn (under “I want to learn”).

  5. Choose your level: Beginner, Intermediate("I know a few basics"), or Advanced(I can have basic conversations")

  6. Continue a few more steps to let us know a little bit more and create your learning journey.

  7. Once we have created your personalized course.

  8. Tap profile

  9. Tap Sign up 

  10. Choose a sign-up method:

    • Enter an email and  create a password

    • Or tap Continue with Google, Facebook, or Apple

🔐 Important: If you already have a Mondly account with email and password, signing up with Google, Facebook, or Apple will create a new account. Make sure to use the same method you originally used.

💻 On the Mondly website (app.mondly.com)

  1. Choose your native language and the language you want to learn.

  2. Select your level: Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced.

  3. Click Log in / Sign up at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Select Create account.

  5. Choose a sign-up method: email and password, or Google, Facebook, or Apple.

🛠 Troubleshooting

  • If you don’t receive a confirmation email, check your spam folder

  • If you created two accounts by mistake (e.g., one with email and another with Google), contact us at support@mondly.com — we can merge them if they were created with different methods.

We cannot merge two accounts created with the same method (e.g., two email/password accounts).

❓FAQ

Can I add another sign-in method later?
Yes, but only after logging in to your account. You can then connect other sign-in methods from your account settings.

What if I skip signing up?
You can explore Mondly without creating an account. However, your progress will not be saved, and you won’t be able to continue on another device unless you sign up later.

👉 Tip: Always create an account before switching devices to keep your subscription and progress safe.
